so begins another week
saturday: 7 hours of surfing at L.B. (my skin now officially looks like aged leather), ice cream at Friendly's, texas hold 'em at jose's, and teaching erwin and felicia how to drive (silly queens folk)
sunday: no-shame-fishing (which involves gathering rusty fish hooks, loose fishing lines, and old sun-dried bait along the boardwalk... so sad, but no shame) at captree state park
the irony of a chill weekend is that it will make monday drag on like whoa....
as much as i enjoy my job, i think i'm slowly deciding that true job satisfaction will require minimal office time and lots of beach time... would u think i'm going crazy if i went for a PhD in oceanography at U Hawai'i? this summer is turning out to be way more enlightening than i thought possible. ok, i need to stop obsessing over that website and go to bed...
oh wait, one more thing... is anyone following the news in the Philippines? wow na wow... i'm still pro-Gloria though... why should a few, bitter protestors and opposition-politicians in Manila be allowed to speak the political-will of the rest of the country? if you thought politics here in the states is a dirty game, try understanding politicking in the Philippines. it will give you a headache.

-True. As a headline in another daily said, "Metro Manila is not the Philippines." Yet, people do know something fishy happened in the last election, but they aren't going to go out marching in the streets hook-line-and-sinker like some mad mob under the once-honorable banner of "people power"; they have become more critical, or more cautious. Too many presidents have been catapulted into and dethroned from the presidency because of it.
